After five years of teaching, I decided to stay at home with my own children. During that time, I became a Parent Educator and a Certified Baby Signs® Instructor. I serviced over 100 families which included a special event sponsored by 1st Five San Bernardino. This sponsored event allowed me to provide a free workshop for families to learn how to use Baby Signs®.

As I introduced Baby Signs® to my oldest son, I noticed he was having difficulties with his speech and fluency. I enrolled him into early intervention speech services in which he made tremendous gains. Once my son completed a year of therapy, I was so impressed by the progress he had made that he inspired me to become a Speech Language Pathologist.

I truly enjoy working with students with special needs. I have a special affinity for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social Communication difficulties.

My name is Lena Davis. I am the owner of Savvy Speech Therapy. I am a licensed and credentialed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in California. I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). I have been practicing as an SLP for ten years in both schools and private practice. I hold a Bachelors as well as a Masters of Arts in Communication Disorders. I currently volunteer as a Clinical Educator for Cal Baptist University and as a Clinical Supervisor for Loma Linda University. Prior to becoming a Speech Language Pathologist, I enjoyed teaching and providing intensive instruction to struggling students at the elementary level. Additionally, I hold a California teaching credential and a Masters in Educational Administration. Outside of running my private practice, I am also a wife of eighteen years with three teenage boys that keep me busy with sports. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family, hiking while chasing waterfalls, traveling, Karaoke, Pilates, working out, and sports training.
